We appreciate your interest in our website and our online shop. Protecting your privacy is very important to us. Below we inform you in detail about how we handle your data.

1. Access Data and Hosting

You can visit our websites without providing any personal information. Each time a webpage is accessed, the web server automatically stores what is known as a server log file, which contains, for example, the name of the requested file, your IP address, date and time of access, the amount of data transferred, and the requesting provider (access data) and documents the access.

This access data is evaluated solely for the purpose of ensuring the smooth operation of the site as well as improving our services. This serves, in accordance with Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR, to safeguard our legitimate interests in a correct presentation of our services, which are overriding in the context of a balancing of interests. All access data is deleted no later than seven days after the end of your visit.

Hosting services provided by a third party

As part of processing on our behalf, a third-party provider provides services for hosting and displaying the website. This serves to safeguard our overriding legitimate interests in a correct presentation of our services in the context of a balancing of interests. All data collected as part of the use of this website or in forms provided in the online shop as described below is processed on its servers. Processing on other servers only takes place within the scope explained here.

This service provider is based in a country within the European Union or the European Economic Area.

2. Collection and Use of Data for Contract Processing and When Opening a Customer Account

We collect personal data when you voluntarily provide it to us in the context of your order, when contacting us (e.g., via contact form or e-mail), or when opening a customer account. Mandatory fields are marked as such because in these cases we require the data for contract processing, or to handle your contact request or to open a customer account, and you cannot complete the order and/or the account opening or send the contact request without providing the data. The data collected is evident from the respective input forms.
We use the data you provide in accordance with Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. b GDPR for contract processing and for handling your inquiries. After full performance of the contract or deletion of your customer account, your data will be restricted for further processing and deleted after the tax and commercial retention periods have expired, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we reserve the right to use your data in any manner beyond this that is permitted by law and about which we inform you in this policy.
You can delete your customer account at any time either by sending a message to the contact option described below or via a function provided for this purpose in the customer account.

3. Data Sharing

For contract performance in accordance with Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. b GDPR, we share your data with the shipping company commissioned with the delivery, insofar as this is necessary for the delivery of ordered goods. Depending on which payment service provider you select during the order process, we forward the payment data collected for this purpose to the bank commissioned with the payment and, if applicable, to payment service providers commissioned by us or to the selected payment service. In some cases, the selected payment service providers collect this data themselves, provided you create an account with them. In this case, you must log in to the payment service provider during the order process with your access data. The privacy policy of the respective payment service provider applies in this regard.

Data sharing with collection agencies

For contract performance in accordance with Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. b GDPR, we forward your data to a commissioned collection agency, provided our payment claim has not been settled despite prior reminders. In this case, the claim is collected directly by the collection agency. Furthermore, the transfer serves to safeguard our overriding legitimate interests in effective assertion or enforcement of our payment claim in accordance with Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR.

You have the right to demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights, and freedoms, or if the processing serves to assert, exercise, or defend legal claims.

This does not apply if the processing is for the purpose of direct marketing. In that case, we will not further process your personal data for this purpose.

4. Cookies and Web Analytics

In order to make visiting our website attractive and to enable the use of certain functions, to display suitable products or for market research, we use so‑called cookies on various pages. This serves to protect our legitimate interests in an optimized presentation of our offering, which prevail in the context of a balancing of interests, in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR.

If you have given your consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR, this website also uses the so‑called DoubleClick cookie from Google Analytics (see below) for advertising purposes, which enables your browser to be recognized when visiting other websites. The information automatically generated by the cookie about your visit to this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. IP anonymization is activated on this website, meaning that your IP address will be shortened beforehand within the member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. The anonymized IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data from Google.

Google will use this information to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to website usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties if required by law or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google. After the purpose no longer applies and after we have stopped using Google DoubleClick, the data collected in this context will be deleted. Google DoubleClick is a service of Google Ireland Limited, a company incorporated and operated under Irish law with its registered office at Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (www.google.de). If information is transmitted to and stored on servers of Google in the USA, the US-based Google LLC is certified under the EU–US Privacy Shield. A current certificate can be viewed here. On the basis of this agreement between the USA and the European Commission, the latter has determined an adequate level of data protection for companies certified under the Privacy Shield.

You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future by deactivating the DoubleClick cookie via this link. You can also visit the Digital Advertising Alliance to learn more about cookies and manage your settings. Furthermore, you can configure your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and can decide individually whether to accept them, or exclude them in certain cases or generally. If you do not accept cookies, the functionality of our website may be restricted.

Use of Google (Universal) Analytics for web analytics

This website uses Google (Universal) Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC (www.google.de), for website analysis. This serves to protect our legitimate interests in an optimized presentation of our offering, which prevail in the context of a balancing of interests, in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR.
Google (Universal) Analytics uses methods that enable an analysis of your use of the website, such as cookies. The information automatically collected about your use of this website is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. By activating IP anonymization on this website, your IP address will be shortened beforehand within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. The anonymized IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data from Google. After the purpose no longer applies and after we have stopped using Google Analytics, the data collected in this context will be deleted.

Google LLC is headquartered in the USA and is certified under the EU–US Privacy Shield. A current certificate can be viewed here. On the basis of this agreement between the USA and the European Commission, the latter has determined an adequate level of data protection for companies certified under the Privacy Shield.

You can prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) by Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug‑in available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

Alternatively to the browser plugin, you can click this link to prevent future data collection by Google Analytics on this website. An opt‑out cookie will be set on your device. If you delete your cookies, you must click the link again.

If you have given your consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR, this website also uses Google Signals. This is an extension of Google Analytics that enables so‑called “cross‑device tracking.” This means that if your internet‑enabled devices are linked to your Google account, Google can generate reports on usage behavior (in particular cross‑device user numbers) even if you switch devices. For this purpose, Google uses data, provided you have activated the “personalized advertising” setting in your Google account. No personal data is processed by us; we only receive statistics created on the basis of Google Signals. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future by downloading and installing the browser plug‑in available here: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de. This prevents the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) and the processing of this data by Google. In addition, you can deactivate the “personalized advertising” setting in your Google account. You can find details here.

Google reCAPTCHA

For the purpose of protecting against misuse of our web forms and against spam, we use the Google reCAPTCHA service on some forms on this website. Google reCAPTCHA is a service of Google Ireland Limited, a company incorporated and operated under Irish law with its registered office at Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (www.google.de).
By checking manual input, this service prevents automated software (so‑called bots) from carrying out abusive activities on the website. This serves to protect our legitimate interests in the protection of our website from misuse and in the trouble‑free presentation of our online presence in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR.

Google reCAPTCHA uses methods such as cookies and JavaScript embedded in the website to analyze your use of the website. The information automatically collected about your use of this website, including your IP address, is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Other cookies stored in your browser by Google services are also evaluated by Google reCAPTCHA.

No reading or storage of personal data from the input fields of the respective form takes place.

You can prevent the collection of data generated by JavaScript or cookies and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) by Google, as well as the processing of this data by Google, by disabling the execution of JavaScript or the setting of cookies in your browser settings. Please note that this may limit the functionality of our web offerings for your use.

Alternatively to the browser plugin, you can click this link to prevent future data collection by Google Analytics on this website. An opt‑out cookie will be set on your device. If you delete your cookies, you must click the link again.

5. Online Marketing
Google AdSense

Our website markets advertising space for third-party providers and advertising networks through Google AdSense. These ads are displayed to you in various places on this website. If you have given us your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. a GDPR, the so‑called DoubleClick cookie from Google will be set as part of the integration of Google AdSense.

This enables interest‑based advertising to be displayed by automatically assigning a pseudonymous user ID, which helps to determine interests based on visits to this and other websites. Once the purpose no longer applies and we stop using Google AdSense, the data collected in this context will be deleted.

Google AdSense is a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, a company incorporated and operated under Irish law with its registered office at Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (www.google.de). Where information is transmitted to and stored on Google servers in the USA, the American company Google LLC is certified under the EU‑US Privacy Shield.
A current certificate can be viewed here. On the basis of this agreement between the USA and the European Commission, the latter has determined an adequate level of data protection for companies certified under the Privacy Shield.

You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by deactivating the DoubleClick cookie via this link. You can also visit the Digital Advertising Alliance to learn more about setting cookies and manage your preferences.

Google Ads Remarketing

Through Google Ads, we advertise this website in Google search results as well as on third‑party websites. If you have given us your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. a GDPR, the so‑called remarketing cookie from Google is set when you visit our website. This cookie automatically enables interest‑based advertising using a pseudonymous cookie ID and based on the pages you visit. Once the purpose no longer applies and we stop using Google Ads Remarketing, the data collected in this context will be deleted.

Further data processing only takes place if you have agreed to Google linking your web and app browsing history with your Google account and using information from your Google account to personalize ads you see on the web. If you are logged in to Google during your visit to our website, Google uses your data together with Google Analytics data to create and define target group lists for cross‑device remarketing. To do this, your personal data is temporarily linked with Google Analytics data by Google to form target groups.

Google Ads is a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, a company incorporated and operated under Irish law with its registered office at Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (www.google.de).

You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by deactivating the remarketing cookie via this link. You can also visit the Digital Advertising Alliance to learn more about setting cookies and manage your preferences.

Our presence on social networks and platforms serves to provide better, more active communication with our customers and interested parties. We provide information there about our products and ongoing special offers. When visiting our online presences on social media, your data may be automatically collected and stored for market research and advertising purposes. Using these data, so‑called usage profiles can be created using pseudonyms. These can be used, for example, to place advertisements inside and outside the platforms that are presumed to correspond to your interests. Cookies are generally used on your end device for this purpose. These cookies store visitor behavior and the users’ interests. This serves our legitimate interests in an optimized presentation of our offer and effective communication with customers and interested parties pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. This recruitment website is operated by Personio SE & Co. KG, which offers a human resource and candidate management software solution (https://www.personio.com/legal-notice/). Access logs (“server logs”)

Each access to this recruitment website automatically causes general protocol data, so-called server logs, to be collected. As a rule, this data is a pseudonym and thus does not allow for inferences about the identity of an individual. Without this data, it would, in some cases, be technically impossible to deliver or display the contents of the software. In addition, processing this data is absolutely necessary under security aspects, in particular for access, input, transfer, and storage control. Furthermore, this anonymous information can be used for statistical purposes and for optimizing services and technology. In addition, the log files can be checked and analyzed retrospectively when unlawful use of the software is suspected. The legal basis for this is §25 subsection 2 Sentence 2 TDDDG. Generally, data such as the domain name of the website, the web browser and web-browser version, the operating system, the IP address, as well as the timestamp of the access to the software is collected. The scope of this log process does not exceed the common log scope of any other site on the web. These access logs are stored for a period of up to 7 days. There is no right to object to this.

Error logs

So-called error logs are generated for the purpose of identifying and fixing bugs. This is absolutely necessary to ensure we can react as quickly as possible to possible problems with displaying and implementing content (legitimate interest). As a rule, this data is a pseudonym and thus does not allow for inferences about the identity of an individual. The legal basis for this is §25 subsection 2 Sentence 2 TDDDG. When an error message occurs, general data such as the domain name of the website, the web browser and web-browser version, the operating system, the IP address, as well as the timestamp upon occurrence of the respective error message and/or specification is collected. These error logs are stored for a period of up to 7 days. There is no right to object to this.

As a general rule, cookies serve the purpose of ensuring secure access to a website (“absolutely necessary”), implementing certain functionalities such as standard-language settings (“functional”), improving the user experience or the performance of the website (“performance”), or placing targeted advertisements (“marketing”). On this recruitment website, we generally use only cookies that are absolutely necessary, functional or performance-related, in particular for implementing certain default settings such as language, for identifying the job advertising channel, or for analyzing the performance of a job advert via which a user accessed this recruitment website. The use of cookies is absolutely necessary for providing our services and thus for the performance of the contract (article 6 (1) b) of the GDPR). Period of storage: up to 1 month or until the end of the browser session Right to object: You can determine via your browser settings whether you allow or object to the use of cookies. Please note that deactivating cookies may result in limited or completely blocked functionalities of this recruitment website.

Rights of data subjects

If Personio SE & Co. KG as the controller processes personal data, you as the data subject have certain rights under Chapter III of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), depending on the legal basis and the purpose of the processing, in particular the right of access (article 15 of the GDPR) and the rights to rectification (article 16 of the GDPR), erasure (article 17 of the GDPR), restriction of processing (article 18 of the GDPR), and data portability (article 20 of the GDPR), as well as the right to object (article 21 of the GDPR). If the personal data is processed with your consent, you have the right to withdraw this consent under article 7 III of the GDPR. To assert your rights as a data subject in relation to the data processed for the purpose of operating this recruitment website, please refer to Personio SE & Co. KG’s Data Protection Officer (see item B).
